If you have any questions that aren't covered here or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here to help and provide any additional information you may need.
What products do you use in your treatments?
At Holistic Pause, I use high-quality, sustainable, and vegan products from Songbird Naturals. The balms and waxes I select are carefully chosen to enhance your reflexology and massage experience.
● Balance Reflexology Wax: This wax is a calming blend of Geranium, Frankincense, Bergamot, and Lavender essential oils. Formerly known as 'Women's Blend,' it’s perfect for promoting balance and relaxation.
● Tea Tree and Mint Reflexology Wax: Ideal for revitalizing tired feet, this wax features a refreshing blend of Tea Tree, Spearmint, and Peppermint essential oils for an invigorating experience.
● Lavender Massage Wax: A soothing single essential oil wax that provides the pure, calming, and balancing effects of Lavender, perfect for a tranquil massage session.
What do I wear?
Reflexology: Loose trousers that can be rolled up.
Massage: Loose clothing. I will ask you to remove clothes for the areas I will massage.
Underwear is always kept on, and your privacy is respected with towels.
When not to treat:
● Foot fractures
● Unhealed wounds/cuts to the area
● Gout
● Contagious foot conditions
● 1st trimester of pregnancy
● DVT
Please call if you are unsure, as you might need to get a referral from your GP. I'm happy to discuss this with you.
Just been diagnosed with a new illness?
I would always advise that if you are coming to terms with your condition and would like to have Reflexology or Massage, you consult with your adviser, GP, or consultant specialist first. Both treatments are very beneficial as they help to calm the nervous system.
What will Reflexology feel like?
In light thumb-walking treatment, clients feel different things at different times, or nothing at all. You may feel a dull ache, pain, tingling, or a sensation elsewhere in your body.
Healing Reactions
These can happen up to 24 hours after the treatment, including feeling thirsty, tearful, grounded, or sleepy. There are many reactions, and no two people are the same. Kindly text me if you have any reactions so we can discuss them at your next treatment.
Number of treatments
It is advised to have regular treatments, from fortnightly to monthly, as this will benefit your well-being in the long term as your body gets used to the treatment.
